FULLER BRUSH PRODUCTS SELL OUT ON QVC
DURING THE "FULLER BRUSH HOUSEHOLD CARE HOUR"
March 27, 2002 -- Great Bend, KS… CPAC, Inc. today announced the results of the first "Fuller Brush Household Care Hour" broadcast Tuesday, March 26, 2002 on QVC, the network and e-commerce leader that reaches more than 82 million U.S. households. During this one-hour live presentation, viewers enjoyed professional demonstrations of proven products developed and manufactured by Fuller Brush (fullerbrush.com) at its 700,000 square foot facility in Great Bend, Kansas.
Featured products included a Kitchen FULSOL® Degreaser and Brush Set, 3 Piece Duster and Lemon D.C.W.® Furniture Wax Kit, Slender Duster™ and Spray Kit, Set of 3 Indoor/Outdoor Rubber Brooms, Fuller ® Tile and Grout Cleaner with Brushes, Electrostatic Carpet Sweeper, and an Extra-Strength Gel Bowl Cleaner Kit. Of these seven product groups, five sold out within the televised hour.
According to Read D. McNamara, President of CPAC's Fuller Brands segment, "The legendary Fuller brand has proven its strength once again. The extraordinary success of this high-visibility marketing event will help drive business in our other sales channels as well, particularly for the thousands of loyal independent Fuller Brush representatives working in the field today. Increased consumer exposure to our brand through the national media, such as television, enhances the activities of all our distribution channels and is a strategic initiative for the company."
This broadcast was the culmination of many months of discussion, development, and production. After discovering the unique mix of innovation and nostalgia associated with the venerable Fuller brand, QVC offered Fuller a one-hour "total home care" presentation segment rather than the typical eight-minute, single-product segment granted to most first-time companies.
Norbert Schneider, Fuller's President, said, "The 'Fuller Brush Household Care Hour' bears a close resemblance to demonstrations given by independent Fuller representatives in homes and offices all across America. For the first time in our 96-year history, a huge national audience participated in live product demonstrations, giving them a golden opportunity to purchase quality products manufactured by America's premier home care experts from the comfort of their living rooms."
