READ D. MCNAMARA LEAVES CPAC, INC. TO ACCEPT NEW POSITION
LEICESTER, NY -- September 9, 2002... CPAC, Inc. (Nasdaq: CPAK), a manufacturer and marketer with holdings in the Cleaning & Personal Care and Imaging industries, today accepted the resignation of Read D. McNamara who has served as President of CPAC's Fuller Brands segment since May 2001. Mr. McNamara has accepted an offer to become Managing Director of McKenzie Scott, a privately held career consulting firm. CPAC President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas N. Hendrickson will re-assume the responsibilities of Segment president.

"Under his leadership, many exciting new initiatives are underway. For example, The Fuller Brush Company has established a successful relationship with QVC, and has attracted G. Robert Gey as its new President. Cleaning Technologies Group has introduced its "Clean Solutions" retail food store program and the TRUMIX chemical management system, both of which are gaining wide acceptance in their respective markets. And Stanley Home Products has implemented a significant recruiting program for Hispanic representatives in key U.S. cities. Mr. McNamara has set important strategic growth initiatives in motion and leaves behind him a capable, focused team to carry out his vision."
